Whether you're applying as a soloist, ensemble member, or part of a pre-formed chamber group (duo, trio, quartet), the process is the same for everyone this year. You’ll need to submit a 10-15 minute free-choice video. You’re encouraged to use this freedom to highlight your versatility and showcase your skills across any instrument.
If you're already in a duo, trio, or quartet and wish to apply as a group, you may submit a balanced 10-15 minute programme. Feel free to include creative, virtuosic, or unusual repertoire-this is your moment to stand out!
You can watch the video once you register to see how the official audition excerpts are performed live by Maraca2. The audition pack and backing tracks will become available to download after registration. All submissions will be assessed using consistent and detailed evaluation criteria. Every applicant will receive feedback from WPG Artistic Director Tim Palmer, offering insight into the selection process and decisions. An example is available below.

Applicants must be aged between 18–35 at the time of the academy.
Applications are open to soloists, ensemble percussionists, and existing chamber groups (duo, trio, quartet).
Go to www.worldpercussiongroup.com.
Click the 'Apply Now' tab.
Choose the 'SOLOIST' or 'ENSEMBLE' application option.
Complete all required fields in the application form.
Upload your video (10–15 minutes, free choice) via YouTube/Vimeo/Dropbox/Google Drive. Balanced programmes and short excerpts on a range of instruments are welcome.
Provide the video link in the portal (YouTube/Vimeo/Dropbox/Google Drive).
Upload your CV or resume.
Upload a high-resolution promotional photo.
Click 'Submit Application'.
That’s it! We will review your application and notify you of the outcome.

Click the 'Apply Now' tab.
Choose the 'COMPOSER / ARRANGER' application.
Complete the online application form.
Submit your media (approx. 10–15 minutes) via YouTube/Vimeo/Dropbox/Google Drive or other audio platforms. Include scores with your recordings.
You’re free to submit a mix of styles, or a smaller number of longer works depending on your artistic voice.
Upload your CV/Resume.
Upload a high-resolution promotional photo.
Click 'Submit Application'.
